The alphaton four channel splitter MPV-43P splits four audiolevel into three way´s, plus optionally one „Direct Output", which is designed to feed the microphone with phantom voltage. These splitters are housed in one single rack unit and find many applications in sound reinforcement or recording situations.

The MPV-43P additionally offers a galvanically isolated and individually per channel switchable phantom power.

The alphaton multichannel audio splitters distribute microphone levels and line levels up to +6 dBu, featuring low distortion and very low inertial loss. Principal application of alphaton audio splitters are in sound recording studios, in public address systems and broadcast and television studios and OB-applications. MPV splitters offer optimum high voltage safety. They comply with VDE and IEC regulations and are recommended by European broadcasting companies.

The transformer with separate faraday shields for each winding isolates and rejects the common-mode noise caused by the noise voltage difference between the cases of the multiple mixers. This eliminates the ground loops which would be caused by the mixer which terminates the microphone directly. All alphaton splitters feature an optional "Direct-Out" in addition to the isolated outputs to handle phantom power.

Heart of any alphaton multichannel audio splitter are high quality distribution transformers, that feature:

  • low inertial loss
  • very flat frequency response
  • nominal level + 6 dBu, MIC-/LINE-levels
  • isolation voltage primary/secondary 2500 volts
  • excellent common-mode rejection
  • efficient magnetic and faraday shields

alphaton multichannel audio splitters distribute are housed in a 19" standard case, each has 4 inputs, which in turn have three transformer-balanced outputs. Optionally each input channel features a "Direct-Output" (parallel wired) that routes phantom power from the main mixing console to the microphone. The direct-outs are wired to XLR-Outputs on the rear panel of the unit.
